Confused about buying good meat at the grocery store?

February 13, 2018

Confused about buying good meat at the grocery store?  Ask yourself these questions:

  1. If I saw the farm where this meat was raised would I still feel comfortable eating it?
  2. Is the farmer focused on animal welfare?
  3. Is it important for me to purchase locally raised meat or is imported meat ok?

If the answers matter to you, then buy from your local farmer. You can visit the farm, ask questions, and hold them accountable for claims they make about their products.  If they don’t allow visitors on their farm, find another farmer!

Conscientious consumers like you are increasingly aware of how food products impact their health and the environment.  Skip the label confusion on grocery store meat - get out and visit a local farm!

Paint Creek Pastures delivers to Cincinnati and Columbus and welcomes visitors to our farm in Greenfield, Ohio.
